Personal Update:
In May, 2025, if the Lord permits, I will celebrate my 80th birthday. Strangely, I do not feel older than 79 years old.
Also, the following month, on June 12, 2025, I will celebrate my 50th anniversary in the gospel ministry.
Revival preaching, due to my age and some health issues, has given place more to single service ministry, mostly at local churches near us.
Yes, you are reading that heading correctly. At the beginning of my ministry in 1975, I enrolled in the Bible Institute course at Liberty University. Upon graduation in 1977, I felt that my formal Bible education was complete.
But I have come to understand that learning is a life-long enterprise, so in 2023, at the age of 78 years, I enrolled in the Master's Program at Andersonville Theological Seminary. Thinking that I would be the oldest student in school was quickly dispelled when I learned that several brethren, all in their 90's were also enrolled. As the "youngster," then, I began my studies. I had not taken a final exam or written a research paper since 1978, so the process was a challenge at first. But I am on the path to my Th.M, and hope to begin work on my Th.D, in a year or so. Being back in school has been very rewarding, and I can report that my bride, Linda, is very supportive.

Announcing!
The Tabernacle In The Wilderness is considered by many to be the crown jewel of Old Testament typology. Every element, and each piece of the structure, as well as the ministrations and rituals were a shadow of the coming Person, work and Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ. The Tabernacle is an awesome and majestic portrait of the Gospel story of redemption from sin. As God dwelt among the Israelites, the Tabernacle represents the coming of Messiah, Who would take away sin by the offering of His own blood. "The Divine Essence Of Christianity" is an invitational, the "altar-call" of my ministry. It is a compilation of six essays from my sermons on salvation. First is "The Love Of God," from John 3:16. Second is "God In Flesh," The Birth Of Jesus Christ. Third is "The Cross And Why The Saviour Had To Die." Fourth is "The Bitter Cup," from our Lord's prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane. Fifth is The Resurrection Of Jesus Christ." The final message is "Almost Persuaded," which is an appeal to procrastinating sinners to accept Jesus Christ as Saviour. It is written in 109 pages, large typeface and comfortable line spacing. It is a tool for the soul winner to reach the lost. Available from the publisher direct by clicking the "Order" button below:
"Pass The Fried Chicken Please" (and other notions about Baptist preachers), has been released. This book is a recollection of the author's forty years in the ministry of church evangelism, revival, camp meeting and special church services. The people, places and events are real, as is the impact each has made on the heart of this thankful preacher. Available from the publisher direct by clicking on the "Order" button at right:

Preaching, writing and church work:
Work on a new manuscript continues, and we hope to have "Blessed Benedictions" ready for publication this year. All these books are available through our publisher, LuLuPress. My purpose in writing is to leave a witness of the truth of the scriptures and a testimony of the faithfulness of God in my life for my children, and for those who follow this ministry. Pray for these endeavors, that our Lord will be pleased to use them to His glory.
